He said this renovation will be done while the center is still operating. <br /> 21 <br /> 22 A motion was made by Commissioner Pelissier seconded by Commissioner Price for the <br /> 23 Board to: <br /> 24 1) Award a bid to Riggs-Harrod Builders, Inc. of Durham, North Carolina not to exceed the <br /> 25 amount of$429,550 for the construction of the Orange County SportsPlex Lobby <br /> 26 Renovation; <br /> 27 2) Authorize the Chair to sign the necessary paperwork upon final approval of the County <br /> 28 Attorney; and <br /> 29 3) Authorize the County Manager to execute change orders for the project up to the project <br /> 30 budget. <br /> 31 <br /> 32 Commissioner Rich said residents in Chapel Hill are asking when this facility can be <br /> 33 duplicated in the southern part of the county. <br /> 34 Commissioner Dorosin said the Sportsplex is in the center of the County, and it is <br /> 35 equidistance from all points. <br /> 36 <br /> 37 VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br /> 38 <br /> 39 c. Joint Planning Land Use Plan and Agreement Amendments — Revisions to <br /> 40 Existing Language Ensuring Agricultural Activities are Allowed Throughout <br /> 41 the Rural Buffer as well as Density and Minimum Lot Size Clarification(s) <br /> 42 The Board considered amendments to the Joint Planning Land Use Plan and <br /> 43 Agreement modifying language to ensure agricultural activities are allowed throughout the Rural <br /> 44 Buffer and to clarify required densities and minimum lot sizes within, and outside of, the <br /> 45 University Lake Watershed Area. <br /> 46 Chair Jacobs noted that there are answers to some of the Board questions included in <br /> 47 the documents at the Commissioners' places. <br /> 48 Michael Harvey reviewed the abstract documents and presented the following <br /> 49 PowerPoint slides: <br /> 50 <br />
