70
1 trees and so forth than us just sitting around guessing. It seemed to me maybe that would be
2 an appropriate endeavor.
3
4 And my second question is for Michael. Michael, what kind of uses, just in general, can
5 be made on land that's zoned rural buffer/RB?
6
7 Michael Harvey: From a permitted use standpoint obviously you have single family residential
8 land uses. There are several uses allowed through the issuance of a special use permit. We
9 are talking about one obviously. Schools. Per the code you can have a Class 2 kennel with the
10 issuance of a Class B special use permit. You can have a church, developed as a permitted use
11 of property, going through administrative site plan review and approval. You can have any
12 myriad of government uses as permitted uses of property. And you can have a farm operation,
13 which is not regulated by local zoning, because state law says we can't regulate them. So,
14 there are myriad of different uses.
15
16 Lisa Stuckey: And some of those uses might disrupt the view?
17
18 Michael Harvey: Yes ma'am.
19
20 Andrea Rohrbacher: I'm Andrea Rohrbacher, a planning board member, and I don't know who
21 this question would go to. But, the current meadow as it exists now; what is the maintenance
22 that is provided for that meadow in the way of mowing and upkeep?
23
24 Bob Thomas: The hay has been taken off of that field for all of the years that we have lived
25 here.
26
27 Pete Hallenbeck: Okay, so the answer to the question of how is the field is currently mowed is;
28 the field is in hay that is harvested.
29
30 Bob Thomas: Currently, in the last year or two years. It's been —the hay has been taken off
31 all of the years we have lived there. This last year, except— last year or two years? Right now
32 it's growing up. It hasn't been hayed this year.
33
34 Barry Katz: You all know Bob Strayhorn. Bob Strayhorn uses that field - that hay off of that - to
35 feed his bulls. Now Bob has been sick, so he's had friends of his getting together and mowing
36 that field when they can. It's been Strayhorn's hay for many years, but before that it was corn
37 and it was real agricultural crop.
38
39 Pete Hallenbeck: Okay, so the field has been in hay. Little disruption, but people are cutting it.
40
41 Barry Katz: Oh yes.
42
43 Pete Hallenbeck: Okay, thank you . Alright, we have some people who have signed in to
44 make a comment for three minutes. I'll read out the names that I have signed down here, and if
45 you wish to comment, come on up. If you are happy with what you've heard and don't want to
46 comment, that's okay too. First name I have on the list is Chris Chinchar.
47
48 Pete Hallenbeck: Does she need to be sworn in, or if it's public -
49
50 Chris Chinchar: I was sworn in. Hi, my name is Chris Chinchar, and I have been sworn in.
51 Thank you for being here tonight and especially so late. My partner Pam Lindroos and I bought
