EXHIBIT"A" <br /> Scope of Services—FY 2014- 15 <br /> Outside Agency Performance Agreement <br /> Agency Name: The Marian Cheek Jackson Center For Saving And Making History <br /> Program Name: Civic Media: Youth And Education Initiative <br /> Funding Award: $6,000 <br /> Outline how the agency will spend Orange County's funding award. <br /> Expense Description Amount <br /> Literac Co s Fee for our Youth and Education Program Director $6,000 <br /> Program Services <br /> For assistance with this or the following section, please reference the Exhibit A instructions and example, located within the <br /> contract and reporting memorandum. Outline the major activities the agency will employ to attain the Anticipated Outcomes <br /> below,by June 30,2015. <br /> • Civil Rights and Local History Workshops, Tours, and School Partnerships: partner with Chapel <br /> Hill/Carrboro and Orange County schools to provide civil rights and local history workshops and <br /> field trips that involve community historians, local leaders,and vetted curriculum. <br /> • Fusion Youth Radio: This service trains high school students in civic media and literacy,provides <br /> twice a week mentorship,and has them produce monthly live radio shows throughout the year <br /> • Northside News: Our community newspaper is produced monthly and hand-delivered to four <br /> neighborhoods and online to stakeholders through neighborhoods of change. <br /> • Oral History and Tour Team: We interview community elders to preserve invaluable history and <br /> involve these long-term residents in teaching history to young people throughout the year. <br /> Anticipated Outcomes <br /> The Anticipated Results column must include quantifiable results in the form of number of persons/units served within Orange <br /> County, on (all Towns and municipalities).
