Ms. Barbour <br /> continued that Mr. Ladd had made an offer to Mr. <br /> Roberts to buy the property and build larger <br /> houses and that question was also not answered. <br /> Laura Baldwin spoke noting that she is part <br /> owner of a historic home which was brought as a <br /> concern and has not been answered. <br /> Ms. Baldwin continued, "We did meet, there have <br /> been some questions answered, there have been <br /> some efforts made by the Roberts family to meet <br /> some of the requirements we have requested. They <br /> have supplied me with a small diagram which <br /> indicates they will pave the road and how it <br /> would move away from the house. Currently, for <br /> your information, and partly why I 'm speaking <br /> now, is because I understand from your statement <br /> in the beginning of the meeting there are certain <br /> constraints that this board has as far as saying <br /> yes or no to this development. That is <br /> not at issue here at all, and how they develop <br /> their land is up to the Roberts. Whether or not <br /> it was up to the Roberts family to notify the <br /> neighbors is also not at issue. I feel that the <br /> Board was not presented with all of the <br /> information and I have listened to several <br /> developments being presented here and several <br /> times Y ou have asked if there are comments from <br /> the audience. If I am not in the audience, I am <br /> not there to comment and what my concern is, 'who <br /> is my advocate with this Board if I am not <br /> represented here? ' So, what I am suggesting is <br /> that perhaps this method has some fault in it, in <br /> that this issue would not have come to our notice <br /> had Ms. Barbour not been informed of the meeting <br /> and things would have gone along fine. At this <br /> point we were able to negotiate with the <br /> neighbors, and I do think that, in fairness to <br /> the Roberts, they have made some efforts on our <br /> part. I still have some concerns and I 'm not sure <br /> where I go with that information. Or, that <br /> concern, the fact that I have a historical home <br /> and there will be a road, and that was the <br /> original road that was a dirt road has no <br /> designated right-of-way.
