l(~ <br />Recommended Tethering Amendment Proposal <br />May 20`x', 2008 <br />Page 4 <br />b Use of the dos in the business of cultivatins asricultural <br />products if the restrainins is reasonably necessarv for the <br />safety of the dos. or <br />c Use of the dos in lawful huntingactivities if the restraint is <br />reasonably necessarv for the safety of the dos, or <br />d Use of the dos at dos trainins or performance events, <br />including but not limited to field trials and obedience trials <br />where tetherins does not occur for a period exceedins <br />7 consecutive davs. <br />(ril After talons possession of a dos that appears to be a stray dos and <br />after havins advised animal control authorities of the capture of the <br />dos tether and restrain the dos in accordance with the provisions <br />of Section XI(K) for a period not to exceed seven (71 davs as the <br />person havins taken possession of the dos is seekins the identity of <br />the owner of the dos. <br />(iiil Walk a dos with a handheld leash. <br />L It shall be unlawful for anv person to keep a dos outdoors in an enclosure <br />includins a pen run kennel fence or electronically controlled containment device or <br />other outdoor enclosure in violation of this subsection. <br />1 Outdoor enclosures containins dogs must meet or exceed the <br />followins dimensional requirements: <br />Size of Dos Required Minimum Enclosure Area <br />1-35 Pounds 80 Square Feet <br />36-75 Pounds 100 Square Feet <br />76 Pounds and sreater 120 Square Feet <br />All outdoor enclosures-must be of sufficient hersht so that the tallest dos contained <br />within the enclosure is able to walk naturally without its head reachins the roof or top of <br />said enclosure however the heisht of anv such enclosure shall not be included for the <br />purposes of determinins the required minimum enclosure area.
