<br />~~~ <br />INVESTING IN INNOVATION <br />Orange County Economic Development Commission <br />Five-Year Strategic Plan: 2005-2010 <br />., M; <br />~~~ v <br />a~~>~~~ ~c~rl <br />Economic Development <br />Commission <br />The Economic Development Commission (EDC) gratefully acknowledges the efforts of the more than 120 <br />county residents who contributed over 1500 volunteer hours to help craft a strategic vision for economic <br />development in Orange County. The EDC particularly thanks the work group co-chairs who gave so freely <br />of their time and energy. <br />The plan has been endorsed by the Orange County Board of Commissioners, the Carrboro Board of <br />Aldermen, the Chapel Hill-Carrboro Chamber of Commerce, and the Hillsborough/Orange County <br />Chamber of Commerce. The plan has also been presented to the Hillsborough Town Board, the Chapel Hill <br />Town Board, the Orange County School Board, and the Chapel Hill Carrboro School Board; formal support <br />is anticipated from these bodies as well. <br />
