Staff is uncomfortable, however, with a total replacement of the existing
standards with the one proposed by the applicant.
® Therefore, staff recommends that the proposed modification be allowed only when the
applicant can demonstrate on asite-specific development plan the need, and benefits, of
allowing for the twelve percent (12%) slope.
Staff believes that it would .be more appropriate to have to as a condition of the SUP approval and
allow for the modification only when it is demonstrated to be necessary rather than replacing the
existing standard outright.
29
