ATTACHMENT ONE (1) REQUEST AND REVIEW PROCESS SUMMARY: <br />DAC members completed comment sheets and submitted them to staff for <br />review. <br />Representatives of the Environment Resource Conservation (ERCD) <br />Department were not able to attend the meeting but were able to submit <br />comments to Planning staff for review and inclusion in our final <br />recommendation. <br />3. A Public Hearing is scheduled to review the .applications. <br />Staff Comment: Staff received authorization from the BOCC on February <br />5, 2008 to schedule the Public Hearing to review the request at the <br />February 25, 2008 Quarterly Public Hearing. <br />4. The Zoning Officer posts signs on the properties subject to the application <br />informing the general public of the meeting date and time and sends out <br />written notices, via certified mail, to all property owners within five hundred <br />(500) feet of the subject property at least fifteen (15) days prior to the <br />hearing date. <br />Staff Comment: Staff sent out ,approximately seventy (70) notices to <br />adjacent property owners and posted four (4) signs on the various <br />properties announcing the date and time of the Public Hearing on <br />February 8, 2008. <br />5. Legal advertisement shall appear in a paper of general circulation twice <br />within fifteen (15) days of the Public Hearing. <br />Staff Comment: The hearing notice is running as follows: <br />News of Orange <br />February 13', 2008 <br />February 20, 2008 <br />Chapel Hill Herald <br />February 13, 2008 <br />February 20, 2008 <br />6. The BOCC and Planning Board hold a Joint Public Hearing to review the <br />request. The purpose of the Public Hearing is to: <br />a. Receive the request from the applicant proposing the development, <br />b. Receive staff's assessment of the proposal, and <br />c. Solicit input from the public on the proposed project. <br />7.
