STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA) <br /> AGREEMENT <br /> ORANGE COUNTY, NC) <br /> THIS AGREEMENT is made and entered into this first day of July, 2014, by and <br /> between The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, hereinafter referred to as "the <br /> University, " for its Master of Public Administration Program, School of Government, and <br /> ORANGE COUNTY, hereinafter referred to as "the Agency. " <br /> W I T N E S S E T H: <br /> WHEREAS, the parties desire to enter into a joint training program for <br /> Master in Public Administration degree candidate in which the MPA student will have full- <br /> time professional supervised assignments within the Agency; and <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, The University and the Agency have entered into this <br /> Agreement and agree as follows: <br /> 1. MUTUAL RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE UNIVERSITY AND AGENCY <br /> a. Both parties will jointly: Establish the educational objectives for <br /> a professional training program, devise methods for their implementation, and evaluate the <br /> effectiveness of the training experience. <br /> b. Agree that there shall be no unlawful discrimination in the Program <br /> based upon race, color, national origin, religion, sex, age, disability, veteran status, <br /> or sexual orientation. <br /> c.
