ARTICLE 2—PRELIMINARY MATTERS <br /> 2.01 Delivery of Fonds and Evidence of Insurance <br /> A. When Contractor delivers the executed counterparts of the Agreement to Owner, Contractor shall <br /> also deliver to Owner such bonds as Contractor may be required to furnish. The Owner shall <br /> have authority to review and reject any bonds as nonconforming. <br /> B. Within fifteen(15) calendar days after the Effective Date of the Agreement,but before any Work <br /> at the Site is started, Contractor shall deliver to Owner, with a copy to Engineer, certificates and <br /> other evidence of insurance requested by Owner which Contractor is required to purchase and <br /> maintain in accordance with paragraphs Article 5 of these Modified General Conditions. The <br /> Owner shall have the authority to review and reject any insurance as nonconforming. <br /> 2.02 Copies of Document <br /> A. Engineer shall furnish to the successful Contractor up to three (3) sets of the Project Manual. <br /> Additional sets will be made available by the Engineer to the Contractor at the cost set forth in <br /> the Advertisement for Bids for this project or the actual cost for reproduction whichever is <br /> greater. <br /> 2.03 Commencement of Contract Times;Notice to Proceed <br /> A. The Contractor shall complete all of the work contracted herein, in an acceptable manner and <br /> within the established Contract Time. The Contract Time shall commence on the start date given <br /> in the Notice to Proceed, and shall run continuously each and every calendar day following, <br /> except as herein provided, and in accordance with paragraph 17.02. Times shall be of the <br /> essence of this Agreement. <br /> 2.04 Starting the Work <br /> A. The Contractor shall commence work on or before the tenth (10 h) calendar day after the date of <br /> the Notice to Proceed or as may be differently stated in the Notice to Proceed. Contractor shall <br /> not start work prior to the date set in the Notice to Proceed. <br /> 2.05 (Intentionally Deleted) <br /> 2.06 Preconstruction Conference;Designation of Authorized Representatives <br /> A. Before any Work at the Site is started, a Preconstruction. Conference attended by Owner, <br /> Contractor, Engineer, and others as appropriate will be held to establish a working understanding <br /> among the parties as to the Work and to discuss the Contractor's schedule for completion of the <br /> work, policies and procedures for submittal of Shop Drawings and other submittals, presentation <br /> and processing of Applications for Payment, and maintaining records required by the Contract <br /> Documents. If agreed between Owner and Contractor, the Preconstruction Conference may be <br /> held prior to the commencement of the Contract Times. <br /> B.
