a. Exfi ration: Fill the manhole to the rim with water and allow the level to equalize <br /> due to saturation. ' <br /> Refill the manhole and mark the level to begin the test. The test shall last at least <br /> 2 hours and allowable leakage shall be 3 gallons per hour. Manholes that fail the <br /> test shall be repaired as necessary and retested until they pass. ' <br /> b. Vacuum Air. The manhole shall be sealed at the top of the rim with the test rig and <br /> shall have 104nches of mercury applied through the rig. The time for the mercury ' <br /> to drop from 90-inches to 9-inches shall be measured. The minimum test time for <br /> the specified drop shall be one minute. All manholes on the project shall be <br /> tested. If any manhole fails, it shall be repaired as necessary and retested until it , <br /> passes. <br /> 32 Video inspection. All sewer mains and sewer service laterals shall be video inspected by <br /> the Contractor and a copy of such delivered to the City in'DVD'format. Prior to the video ' <br /> of the sewers, all lines shall be pressured cleaned and flushed. All defects noted during <br /> the video inspection shall be corrected by the Contractor.
