INTRODUCTION <br /> 1 <br /> ' The purpose of these standards is to serve as a guide in the preparation <br /> and submittal of plans and for the construction of roadway, utility, and <br /> development projects in the City of Mebane. These guidelines meet the <br /> ' current design standards and ensure more uniformity in the design of those <br /> projects. Engineers are encouraged to use these standards in their design <br /> process. It is not the intent of this manual to provide an explanation for every <br /> ' design problem encountered, nor, as a substitute for experience, sound <br /> judgment, and engineering knowledge. <br /> The City of Mebane will use these standards and requirements along <br /> with sound engineering principles to review the detailed engineering drawings. <br /> These standards shall apply to all roadway and utility improvements and <br /> developments within the City of Mebane. In addition, these standards apply to <br /> ' areas outside the City Limits that are under the jurisdiction of the City. <br /> The City of Mebane has the right of final approval over all construction <br /> ' work done under these guidelines and no work will be accepted until approval <br /> is made by the City. <br /> ' CITY OF MEBANE <br /> Revised January 1, 2013 <br /> i <br />
