The pilot valve and all associated piping and fittings <br /> ' necessary for proper operation shall be factory assembled and <br /> furnished with the pump control valve. Ball valves shall be installed <br /> in the control piping as necessary to isolate the pilot valve. An <br /> ' external strainer with blow-off shall be provided in the control circuit <br /> to protect pilot and needle valves. <br /> ' 6. The external pilot valve, internal piston, seat ring, stem nuts, and <br /> position indicator shall be bronze. The strainer shall be bronze body <br /> with stainless steel screen. Ball valves shall be full ported with <br /> ' stainless steel shaft, nut and adjusting handle. The main valve and <br /> control piping shall be designed for a minimum working pressure of <br /> 300 psi unless otherwise specified. <br /> ' 7. The valve shall be a piston-style valve operating on the differential <br /> pressure principle; no diaphragms or springs in the main valve will <br /> ' be permitted. The valve shall be as manufactured by GA Industries, <br /> Inc., Fig. No. 6700-D, Ross Valve Mfg. Co. Inc., Model 50RWR-A or <br /> approved equal. <br /> ' PART 3: EXECUTION <br /> ' 3.01 INSTALLATION <br /> A. Excavation: <br /> ' 1. The work covered by this section consists of the excavation and <br /> satisfactory disposal of all materials excavated in the construction of <br /> trenches. <br /> 2. Trenches will be defined as all excavation for the installation of storm <br /> sewers, sanitary sewers, water pipe, manholes, catch basins, <br /> hydrants, watergates, sewer services, water taps, drainage <br /> structures, drainage ditches and other unclassified excavation as <br /> ' may be deemed necessary by the Engineer. <br /> 3.
