2. Payment for these services will be made either directly by the Owner or <br /> from testing and inspecting allowances, as authorized by Change Orders, <br /> if such allowances are include in the Contractor's construction contract. <br /> 3. Costs for retesting and reinspecting construction that replaces or is <br /> necessitated by work that failed to comply with the Contract Documents <br /> will be charged to Contractor. <br /> B. Contractor Responsibilities: Tests and inspections not explicitly assigned to <br /> Owner are Contractor's responsibility. Perform additional quality-control <br /> activities required to verify that the Work complies with requirements, whether <br /> specified or not. <br /> 1. Unless otherwise indicated, provide quality-control services specified and <br /> those required by authorities having jurisdiction. Where quality-control services are indicated as Contractor's responsibility, <br /> submit a certified written report, in duplicate, of each quality-control <br /> service. <br /> 5. Testing and inspecting requested by Contractor and not required by the <br /> Contract Documents are Contractor's responsibility. <br /> 6. Submit additional copies of each written report directly to authorities <br /> having jurisdiction, when they so direct. <br /> C. Manufacturer's Field Services: Where indicated, engage a factory-authorized <br /> service representative to inspect field-assembled components and equipment <br /> installation, including service connections. Report results in writing as specified <br /> in Division 01 Section "Submittal Procedures." <br /> D. Manufacturer's Technical Services: Where indicated, engage a manufacturer's <br /> technical representative to observe and inspect the Work. Manufacturers <br /> technical representative's services include participation in preinstallation <br /> conferences, examination of substrates and conditions, verification of materials, <br /> observation of Installer activities, inspection of completed portions of the Work, <br /> and submittal of written reports. <br /> E.
