3.2 ENGINEER'S ACTION <br /> A. Engineer will not review submittals that do not bear required cover sheet and <br /> Contractor's approval stamp and signature and will return them without <br /> action. <br /> B. Engineer will review each submittal, make marks to indicate corrections or <br /> modifications required, and return it electronically. The transmittal form <br /> included in this section contains a copy of the review stamp to be completed by <br /> the Engineer. The Engineer will complete the stamp for each submittal and will <br /> mark stamp appropriately to indicate action. <br /> C. Informational Submittals: Engineer will review each submittal and will not return <br /> it, or will return it if it does not comply with requirements. -Engineer will forward <br /> each submittal to appropriate party. <br /> D. Incomplete submittals are not acceptable, will be considered nonresponsive, <br /> and will be returned electronically without review. <br /> E. Submittals not required by the Contract Documents may not be reviewed and <br /> may be discarded. <br /> F. Submittals will be returned electronically to the Contractor under one of the <br /> following codes. <br /> Code 1 — FURNISH AS SUBMITTED, No Exceptions — The review indicates <br /> that the material, equipment or work method complies with the project <br /> documents. In this event the contractor may begin to implement the work <br /> method or incorporate the material or equipment covered by the submittal. <br /> Code 2 — FURNISH AS SUBMITTED, Make corrections noted — The review <br /> indicates that there are limited corrections required for the material, equipment <br /> or work method. In this event the contractor may begin to implement the work <br /> method or incorporate the material or equipment covered by the submittal in <br /> accordance with the noted corrections. <br /> Code 3 — NOT APPROVED (See Notes), Revise and resubmit — The review <br /> indicates that the submittal is insufficient or contains incorrect data, copies or <br /> other information. Except at his own risk, the Contractor shall not undertake <br /> work covered by this submittal until such time as it is revised and meets the <br /> requirements of code I or 2. <br /> Code 4 — NOT APPROVED, Rejected — The review indicates that the submittal <br /> does not comply with the project documents and is unacceptable for <br /> incorporation into the project.
