Some groups will donate their services free of charge, or will play for free after receiving two honoraria per year. • In 2013, we hosted 64 performances with $3,000 in funding. Of those performances, 35 were paid. • In 2012 (prior to funding from OC Arts Commission), we closed out the year with 80 performances with $2,500 in funding. Thirty-five of those performers received payment. • In 2011, we supported 93 performances with $4,500 in funding. Seventy of those performers were paid. • In 2010, we had 50-60 performances with limited funding in that that year. (In the first year, we had not formalized the program and therefore our records are incomplete.) As you can see, our performances last year dipped a little—in large part due to the volunteer who coordinates this program moving away—but with him back, our goal is to reach 80 performances again this year, and to be able to pay $4,000 in stipends to show our appreciation for this vital Family House program. A budget of $4,000 would allow us $400 per month, and pay for three groups and two solo shows each month. Our stipends are $100 for groups and $50 for individual performers for up to two shows per calendar year. Some groups will donate their services free of charge, or will play for free after receiving two honoraria per year. We request from the Orange County Arts Commission a grant of $1,500. The matching funds for this grant have already been secured this year from The Strowd Roses Foundation, and so we ask the Orange County Arts Commission to help ensure that we will be able to continue to offer this important program with a robust schedule through the end of 2014 with your essential support. Notes About Our Application Family House does not maintain artist resumes, and so we have not included those details here. The enclosed posters are a sample of what we display in the House to encourage guests to attend. Most significantly, we operate on a calendar (vs. fiscal) year, and therefore we do not yet have a 2015 budget. We are more than happy to provide any other financial detail that may help you in your funding decision, including our most recent audit (2012 and 2011). We have enclosed our 2012 actual, 2013 actual and 2014 projected budget (within one document) for your review.
