In 1994, the orchestra undertook a month-long tour of the United States, marking <br /> the first appearance of a Slovak symphonic orchestra in America. In addition to <br /> performances for radio and television, the SFK has made over 160 recordings. Since <br /> 1991, it has been the principal organizer of two international festivals: the Kosice <br /> Music Spring Festival and the International Organ Festival of Ivan Sokol; and since <br /> 2003, the Festival of Contemporary Art. For its artistic activities, the Slovak State <br /> Philharmonic, Kosice was awarded the Kosice City Prize twice. <br /> This CD was recorded September 16-21, 2013, in Dom umenia Concert <br /> Hall, Kosice, Slovak Republic. <br /> Credits: <br /> Cover Photo: Jared N.
