-i 7-/V <br /> a- <br /> ORANGE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br /> PROCLAMATION OF RECOGNITION ON <br /> CHAPEL HILL HIGH SCHOOL WOMEN'S SOCCER TEAM AND <br /> COACH RON BENSON <br /> WINNING THE 2014 STATE CHAMPIONSHIP <br /> WHEREAS, on May 31, 2014, Chapel Hill High School Women's Soccer Team <br /> captured the North Carolina High School Athletic Association's <br /> (NCHSAA) 3A State Women's Soccer Championship; and, <br /> WHEREAS, under the guidance of Coach Ron Benson, the Chapel Hill High <br /> School Women's Soccer Team earned its first NCHSAA State title, <br /> completing the season with a 23-1 record; and, <br /> WHEREAS, Coach Ron Benson, after 34 years of leading the Tigers, has <br /> announced his retirement; and, <br /> WHEREAS, through hard work, dedication, teamwork, and commitment, the <br /> Lady Tigers brought honor upon themselves, Chapel Hill High <br /> School, the Chapel Hill / Carrboro City Schools District and Orange <br /> County; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, be it proclaimed that the Orange County Board of <br /> Commissioners expresses its sincere appreciation and respect for the <br /> Chapel Hill High School Women's Soccer Team and Coach Benson <br /> for the Tigers' outstanding achievement, and their inspiration to <br /> youth across North Carolina through their dedication, teamwork, and <br /> athletic prowess. <br /> This the 17th day of June 2014. <br /> Barry Jacobs, r <br /> Orange County Board of Commissioners <br />
