Some of the <br />departments interviewed consider community contacts in the area to be under- <br />resourced and overburdened. Mexican immigrant. <br />Spanish Speaking Staff <br />Lack of immediate, on site, on-call assistance becomes an obstacle, even though the <br />departments have already developed voice mail and written materials, etc. There is <br />no one who can answer phone calls or assist walk-in clients immediately. The <br />departments have to contact a staff member from other departments to help with <br />translations or they have to wait for contract translators to become available. <br />Example: I like my job because it lets me bring resources to my community and I <br />consider my self a link between them However, I am frequently out of work, because I <br />get sick with job stress related.
