Subsequently, the Board has conducted two public hearings to <br />receive residents' comments regarding the proposed funding plan. On June 5, 2014, the Board <br />heard presentations from Durham Technical Community College, Chapel Hill - Carrboro City <br />Schools Board of Education and Orange County Schools Board of Education. Additionally, the <br />Board discussed the Sportsplex operating budget and began discussions with County <br />Departments in regards to their departmental budgets. <br />Tonight's work session offers the Board an opportunity to continue discussing the <br />recommended budget proposals directly with County departments, including department fee <br />schedule change requests and associated non - departmental items. The following departments <br />are scheduled to attend tonight's work session: <br />• Register of Deeds <br />• Sheriff <br />• Aging <br />• Animal Services <br />• DEAPR- Department of Environment, Agriculture, Parks & Recreation <br />• Economic Development, Chapel Hill /Orange County Visitors Bureau and the Orange <br />County Arts Commission <br />• Emergency Services <br />• Housing, Human Rights and Community Development <br />
