VOLKERT <br /> Forum Parkway Connector, Rural Hall, North Carolina (2006): Mr. Snow served as a <br /> project engineer on the project. The project involved capacity analysis, environmental <br /> screening,functional roadway and bridge designs, and development of a feasibility study <br /> to address the possibility of constructing a connector road from Bethania-Rural Hall Road <br /> to University Parkway in Rural Hall. This facility will provide a connecting road from <br /> Bethania-Rural Hall Road to University Parkway. Extensive public involvement was also a <br /> part of this study. <br /> NC 150 Relocation, Summerfield, North Carolina (2006): Mr. Snow served as the <br /> project director on the project. The project involved traffic data collection, traffic capacity <br /> analysis using Synchro, environmental screening, conceptual design, and a feasibility <br /> study to provide a direct east-west extension of NC 150 to eliminate the dog-leg route in <br /> the U.S. 220 area in Summerfield. <br /> North Church Street Widening Feasibility Study,Greensboro, North Carolina(2005): <br /> Mr.Snow served as the project manager on the project. This corridor feasibility study was <br /> for the widening of North Church Street from West Wendover Avenue to East Cone <br /> Boulevard in Greensboro. This 1.8-mile-long section of North Church Street has <br /> experienced significant traffic increase in recent years and the numerous curb cuts have <br /> created accidents. The stimulus for this project was to improve vehicular safety and <br /> mobility, enhance pedestrian and bicycle mobility and safety,and to provide more efficient <br /> access management along the corridor. Specific services provided by CDM Smith <br /> included traffic data collection, corridor capacity analysis using Synchro and SimTraffic, <br /> functional designs, crash analysis, environmental screening, and an extensive public <br /> involvement program. <br /> U.S. 311 Connector Feasibility Study, Winston-Salem, North Carolina (2005): Mr. <br /> Snow served as the project manager on the project. The project was the development of <br /> a feasibility study to connect U.S. 311 from 1-40 to 1-40 Business Interstate, a distance of <br /> approximately 2.5 miles. This facility is extremely important to serve as a north-south <br /> connector for southeast Winston-Salem. However, the construction of this facility will <br /> impact an established residential community. Specific services provided by CDM Smith <br /> Include traffic data collection, corridor capacity analysis using Synchro and SimTraffic, <br /> environmental screening, crash analysis, access management analysis, conceptual <br /> design, and construction cost estimates. <br /> Parallel Road Traffic Capacity Analysis, Lewisville,North Carolina(2005): Mr. Snow <br /> served as the project manager on the project. The project involved helping the Town of <br /> Lewisville determine the viability of a 1-way loop in their downtown area. Tasks included <br /> a 20-year traffic forecast, performing capacity analysis on the existing network with current <br /> and projected traffic, assigning traffic to the one-way loop configuration, performing traffic <br /> 5 <br />
