I <br />have represented the Federal Government in numerous EEO and employment cases. I <br />have also mediated some of these cases and, at the Defense Dependents Schools and <br />the Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts, I developed various EEO related plans and <br />training materials and trained individuals concerning EEO requirements. <br />As a member of the Commission I can bring my knowledge of the various EEO related <br />statutes to the table. As a trained mediator, I can bring my skills to assist in resolving <br />issues. <br />As a sociologist I was trained to appreciate cultural diversity which has left me open to <br />understanding the morays and cultural differences that may generate misunderstandings <br />between various groups in our society. <br />I believe that my training and experience allows me to approach cases objectively in this <br />emotion charged area. <br />STAFF COMMENTS: Applied 01/16/2013 for Human Relations Commission.
