Wooten, Eastern Jail Consultant <br />Dear MS. Wooten, <br />Your request for us to reduce our inmate overcrowding has been met. At the present time we have <br />a total of .144 inmates, 128 male inmates and 16 female inmates. On August 30, 2006 when conducting <br />yqur inspection we were in the process of transferring sentenced inmates out of the jail and were very <br />much overcrowded. We have since implemented measures that hopefully will prevent this from <br />occurring in the future. <br />Our Commissioners approved in this years budget additional funding, which should provide space <br />needed for female inmates.
