Additionally,properties are eligible only if they meet all of the following requirements: • The property must require at least $5,000 of improvements in order to meet SFR Rehabilitation Standards. • The property must be free of environmental hazards and other nuisances as defined by all applicable codes or regulations, or any such hazards or nuisances must be corrected as part of the rehabilitation of the unit. The County's Rehabilitation Specialist will determine whether there are environmental hazards/nuisances present on the site and if they can be removed through rehabilitation. • Properties cannot be located in a right-of-way of any impending or planned public improvements. The County's Rehabilitation Specialist will assist in verifying status. • The property cannot be located on a site that is endangered by mudslides, landslides or other natural or environmental hazards. The Rehabilitation Specialist will work with the homeowner to make this determination, if needed. • Manufactured housing is not eligible for assistance • The property must be current with all taxes. County staff will assist in verifying status. • The property may not be located in a flood hazard area.
