<br />Project Description /Justification
<br />Blackwood Farm Park is a 152 -acre site located midway between Chapel Hill and Hillsborough
<br />on NC 86 and New Hope Church Road The adopted master plan includes
<br />a multi -use park with components of the farm's
<br />agricultural past, including community gardens and agricultural demonstration areas and exhibits It also includes
<br />amphitheatre, fishing trails and open fields
<br />Funds approved in 2012 -13 will provide for
<br />an
<br />opening on part-time basis, with limited amenities in Fall, 2014 Park
<br />construction is proposed for Year 4, with construction
<br />drawings in Year 3 and park opening
<br />and associated costs beginning in Year 5
<br />A Parks Operations
<br />Base is scheduled for construction in Year 6
