Year -To -Date Budget <br />Summary <br />INFORMATION CONTACT: <br />Clarence Grier, (919) 245 -2453 <br />PURPOSE: To approve budget ordinance amendments for fiscal year 2013-14. <br />BACKGROUND: <br />Department on Aging <br />1. The Department on Aging has received notification of additional revenue, totaling $1,750, <br />to promote the Medicare Improvements for Patients and Providers Act (MIPPA). Staff will <br />use the funds to advertise the program, in print media. This budget amendment provides <br />for the receipt of these additional funds. (See Attachment 1, column 1) <br />2. Based on current year collections, the Department on Aging anticipates a revenue <br />increase of $10,000 in class fees, which will pay Wellness instructors and related class <br />expenses.
