He said there need to be ways to <br /> accommodate more passengers. He said any delay can cause the buses to stack up. <br /> Commissioner McKee said Brian Litchfield mentioned the need for additional bus <br /> services, and he asked if any additional money from the sales tax is coming to Chapel Hill <br /> Transit for new or existing service. <br /> Brian Litchfield said most of the sales tax is going to Triangle Transit for the rail project. <br /> Commissioner McKee said there are additional monies coming in that are above what <br /> was anticipated. He asked if anyone is getting any of this money for additional bus services. <br /> Brian said Chapel Hill Transit expects to receive $1.1 million from Triangle Transit this <br /> year. He said he would have to ask them where this is coming from. <br /> Commissioner McKee said the light rail should have gone up 15-501 where there were <br /> more opportunities for Orange County to develop and re-develop. <br /> Council Member Harrison said there is almost no transit on 15-501 and it does not work <br /> as well as MLK for bus transit.
