0 <br />Notification Requirements: Per Sections 2.7.5 of the UDO, staff has caused a notice of this <br />hearing to be published: `as least twice in a newspaper of public circulation in the County for <br />two (2) successive weeks: ` no less than ten (10) days nor more than twenty -five (25) days' <br />before the public hearing. <br />On May 14, 2014 staff posted a sign on the property providing a notice of the date, time, and <br />location of the public hearing. Staff also sent written notice by certified mail to all adjacent <br />property owners located within 500 feet of the subject property as required by Section 2.7.5 of <br />the UDO. This notice was sent on May 9, 2014 (please see Attachment 4). <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: This request has been reviewed by various County departments who <br />have determined that the approval or denial of the request would not create the need for <br />additional funding for the provision of County services. <br />RECOMMENDATION(S): The Planning Director recommends that the Board: <br />1. Receive the application, <br />2. Conduct the quasi-judicial Public Hearing and accept all evidence and sworn testimony <br />as well as public, BOCC, and Planning Board comments. <br />3. Refer the matter to the Planning Board with a request that a recommendation be returned <br />to the County Board of Commissioners in time for the September 16, 2014 BOCC <br />regular meeting. <br />4. Adjourn the public hearing until September 16, 2014 in order to receive and accept the <br />Planning Board's recommendation and any submitted written comments. <br />
