INFORMATION ITEM <br />BOCC Information Item <br />May 20, 2014 Agenda <br />To Michael Talbert, Interim County Manager <br />From Carla Banks, Director of Public Affairs <br />Re Orange County Web site Redesign <br />Dear Mr Talbert, <br />The County's Web site Redesign Committee headed up by Carla Banks (Public Affairs) <br />and Jim Northrup (I T) is moving forward with plans to revamp the County's Web site <br />After reviewing multiple proposals, the Committee selected Revize Software Systems <br />as the vendor <br />After contract review between the County Attorney's Office and the vendor's attorneys, <br />the $34,000 00 contract has been approved and the first of three payments has been <br />issued <br />The next steps will involve a choosing a Web site redesign committee and then a <br />remote kick -off meeting with Revize -to discuss the framework and design layout. <br />Afterwards, the Web site Redesign Committee will present the kick -off meeting outcome <br />to the County's Web Masters, allowing an opportunity for feedback and input. The Web <br />masters have been involved in the redesign discussions and will continue to be <br />consulted throughout the redesign process in an effort to address both the technical and <br />content needs of each department. <br />The Web site Redesign Committee will come back to the BOCC at the Work Session on <br />September 11, 2014, to provide an update and show a draft of the home page design <br />A tentative launch date is scheduled for January 2015 <br />Regards, <br />Carla Banks <br />
