To receive the Planning Board recommendation and make a decision on a <br /> Planning Board and Planning Director initiated text amendment to the Unified <br /> Development Ordinance (UDO) <br /> As a reminder, the public hearing was closed at the February 18, 2014 BOCC meeting, <br /> so no additional public comments can be accepted on this item <br /> BACKGROUND: At the January 9, 2013 Planning Board meeting, Board members <br /> discussed areas of interest to be worked on in the coming year Many of these items <br /> were elements highlighted in the UDO Implementation Bridge report prepared when the <br /> UDO was adopted in 2011. One item presented by the Planning Board and referenced <br /> in the Implementation Bridge was the need to review home occupation requirements to <br /> determine the need to revise existing standards Since July 2013 staff has been <br /> working directly with the Planning Board to review and revise existing home occupation <br /> standards contained in the UDO. <br /> The amendment was presented for adoption consideration at the February 18, 2014 <br /> BOCC meeting During discussion Board members identified concerns with existing <br /> and proposed language regarding screening and setback standards for accessory <br /> structures utilized in a home occupation.
