Fbbert Dowling, the Executive Director for the Community Home Trust, stated that there <br />is a need for a local source of money for affordable housing. He said that the Community <br />Home Trust has 220 homes. The Community Home Trust has requested $50,000 of <br />Community Development and HOMEfundsfor the Homebuyer Assistance Program. The <br />organization hasalso requested $100,000 in HOMEfundsfor the Waterstone <br />development in Hillsborough and $18,000 in HOMEfundsfor operating costs. <br />Staff Comment: The recommended Community Development Ran includes $29,000 for the <br />Homebuyer Assistance Program. <br />8.
