She said this will allow fair comparison. <br /> 4 Commissioner McKee requested that the Board ask the planning staff re-visit the issue <br /> 5 of impervious surfaces. He said there are quite a few long narrow parcels of land in the <br /> 6 County, and the driveways use up a great deal of the impervious surface. <br /> 7 Commissioner Dorosin noted that they Board members recently received an email with <br /> 8 information about Building Integrated Communities, an organization dedicated to improving <br /> 9 civic engagements and economic and educational advancement for immigrants in North <br /> 10 Carolina. He said their grant cycle is kicking in, and there is an informational webinar tomorrow. <br /> 11 He asked if someone from staff could do the webinar to determine whether the County should <br /> 12 pursue a grant opportunity. <br /> 13 Michael Talbert said he would follow up on this. <br /> 14 Commissioner Rich petitioned that the Chapel Hill Lady Tigers, who won the state <br /> 15 basketball championship, be recognized at a future meeting. <br /> 16 Chair Jacobs said his petition is in response to a citizen's question regarding the <br /> 17 possibility of Google bringing high speed internet to Orange County. He suggested that staff <br /> 18 reach out to Google to get information to share with the public <br /> 19 Chair Jacobs said Time Warner Cable has changed the meeting channel to 1301. <br /> 20 <br /> 21 4.
