Baker (All other <br /> 21 staff members will be identified appropriately below) <br /> 22 HILLSBOROUGH COMMISSIONERS PRESENT: Mayor Tom Stevens and Kathleen <br /> 23 Ferguson, Commissioners Eric Hallman, Brian Lowen, Evelyn Lloyd, and Jenn Weaver <br /> 24 HILLSBOROUGH COMMISSIONERS ABSENT: <br /> 25 HILLSBOROUGH STAFF PRESENT: Maragret Hauth, Planning Director <br /> 26 HILLSBOROUGH TOWN STAFF ABSENT: Town Manager Eric Peterson <br /> 27 <br /> 28 Chair Jacobs called the meeting to order at 7:05 p.m. <br /> 29 <br /> 30 Welcome and Opening Remarks <br /> 31 Mayor Stevens said he is glad the Board and the town are able to get together, and it <br /> 32 seems that interaction is good between the two groups of staff. He introduced Hillsborough's <br /> 33 two newest Town Commissioners: Kathleen Ferguson and Jenn Weaver. <br /> 34 Mayor Stevens noted that Town Manager Eric Peterson was unable to attend due to <br /> 35 illness. He said the town is excited about the delivery of the bridges for Riverwalk, and the plan <br /> 36 is to have the ribbon cutting in September. He also invited the Board to attend his State of the <br /> 37 Town address on March 24th at the Orange County Public Library at 7:00 p.m. <br /> 38 Chair Jacobs said he and the Mayor decided to forego formal titles and use first names <br /> 39 at the meeting tonight. He said the Board enjoys having these annual meetings with <br /> 40 Hillsborough, and the practice has spawned annual meetings with the other municipalities in <br /> 41 Orange County. He said it seems that sitting down and talking with people gets more done in <br /> 42 the long run, and it dispels misimpressions. <br /> 43 <br /> 44 1.
