E <br />budget amendment provides for the receipt of these Community Giving funds. (See <br />Attachment 1, column 2) <br />Department on Aging <br />3. The Orange County Adult Care Home Community Advisory Committee is donating <br />$3,000 to bring music to low- income persons with dementia living, in Orange County. <br />Donations will purchase music players for residents and facility staff to use the music <br />resources. This budget amendment provides for the receipt of these additional funds. <br />(See Attachment 1, column 3) <br />Sheriff Department <br />4. The Sheriff Department has requested to purchase two (2) patrol vehicles $58,130 out of <br />received drug funds, which currently resides in a balance sheet account within the <br />general ledger system. This budget amendment provides for a fund balance <br />appropriation of $58,130 from the General Fund for the transfer of these funds from the <br />drug fund account to the Sheriff's departmental recurring capital account for the purchase <br />of these vehicles. (See Attachment 1, column 4) <br />Emergency Services <br />5. The Orange County Emergency Services Department has received grant funds of <br />$35,000 from the N.C. Department of Crime Control and Public Safety related to the 2013 <br />Emergency Management Performance Grant award.
