Gordon, Earl McKee, Bernadette Pelissier, Renee Price, Penny Rich <br /> 14 COUNTY COMMISSIONERS ABSENT: <br /> 15 COUNTY ATTORNEYS PRESENT: John Roberts <br /> 16 COUNTY STAFF PRESENT: Interim County Manager Michael Talbert, Assistant County <br /> 17 Managers Clarence Grier, Cheryl Young and Clerk to the Board Donna Baker (All other staff <br /> 18 members will be identified appropriately below) <br /> 19 NOTE: ALL DOCUMENTS REFERRED TO IN THESE MINUTES ARE IN THE PERMANENT <br /> 20 AGENDA FILE IN THE CLERK'S OFFICE. <br /> 21 <br /> 22 Chair Jacobs called the meeting to order at 7:01 p.m. <br /> 23 <br /> 24 1. Additions or Changes to the Agenda <br /> 25 Chair Jacobs reviewed the following information at the Commissioner's places: <br /> 26 - White Sheet - Chair Jacobs' correction sheet - Item 6a- Minutes <br /> 27 - Yellow— Item 7a - CDBG grant application information - Item 7a -- Report and <br /> 28 Recommendations from the County and Town Managers Regarding the <br /> 29 Implementation of Improvements in the Historic Rogers Road Neighborhood <br /> 30 <br /> 31 Chair Jacobs said that due to the pending inclement weather, the closed session is <br /> 32 canceled. <br /> 33 <br /> 34 PUBLIC CHARGE <br /> 35 The Chair dispensed with the reading of the public charge. <br /> 36 <br /> 37 2. Public Comments <br /> 38 <br /> 39 a. Matters not on the Printed Agenda <br /> 40 Andrew Dykers said he lives in Carrboro and wanted to share an idea to help citizens <br /> 41 have greater access to information on candidates running for public office in Orange County. <br /> 42 He said when candidates file to run for office, the County lists their name, email and residence <br /> 43 on the website. He suggested the inclusion of a hyperlink to the candidate's on-line presence. <br /> 44 He said citizens would benefit by having this information in a consolidated manner. <br /> 45 He suggested a new straightforward web address for accessing this information. He <br /> 46 said he did talk to Michael Talbert regarding concerns about promoting one candidate over <br /> 47 another. He said he is not here to suggest that the County advance the cause of any particular <br /> 48 candidate. <br /> 49 <br /> 50 b. Matters on the Printed Agenda <br />
