Year -To -Date Budget <br />Summary <br />INFORMATION CONTACT: <br />Clarence Grier, (919) 245 -2453 <br />PURPOSE: To approve budget and grant project ordinance amendments for fiscal year 2013- <br />14. <br />BACKGROUND: <br />Housing, Human Rights and Community Development <br />The Housing, Human Rights and Community Development Department has received <br />additional revenue for the following programs: <br />• Homelessness Programs — a HUD Continuum of Care Planning Grant of $7,778. <br />Funds can be used for permanent supportive housing and /or services. <br />• Section 8 Voucher Program — client repayments totaling $14,093, for participation <br />in the voucher program. Funds will be used for rental assistance needs. <br />2. The department also received additional revenue from the Department of Housing and <br />Urban Development (HUD), totaling $181,077 for the Fair Housing Program. The <br />revenue will fund partnership grants, case reimbursements, training and other program <br />administration costs. The amended Grant Project Ordinance is below: <br />
