(See <br />Attachment 1, column 1). <br />Department on Aging <br />3. The Department on Aging has received sponsorship revenue of $2,500, from the UNC <br />Institute on Aging. The funds will support "In Praise of Age," a weekly talk show about <br />senior issues. This budget amendment provides for the receipt of these additional funds. <br />(See Attachment 1, column 2) <br />Health Department <br />4. The Health Department has received revenue of $42,500 from the Centers for Medicare <br />& Medicaid Services. The Health Department has met required criteria for converting its <br />patient management system from HIS (a state run system) to Patagonia and these funds <br />will be used to facilitate that conversion. This budget amendment provides for the receipt <br />of these additional funds. <br />5. The department also received additional revenue of $1,000 from the Project Lazarus <br />Community Coalition Grants Program. The revenue will provide support to communities <br />in order to prevent drug related overdoses. This budget amendment provides for the <br />receipt of these additional funds. <br />This budget amendment provides for the receipt of these additional funds totaling <br />$43,500 for the Health Department. (See Attachment, column 3) <br />Animal Services <br />6. Donated funds of $2,000 have been earmarked for Animal Services' use through the <br />Community Giving Fund. Animal Services will use these funds for consulting veterinary <br />services. This budget amendment provides for the receipt of these Community Giving <br />funds.
