ORANGE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />PROCLAMATION OF RECOGNITION ON <br />CHAPEL HILL HIGH SCHOOL'S FENCING TEAM WINNING THE <br />2014 STATE CHAMPIONSHIP <br />WHEREAS, on February 8, 2014 Chapel Hill High School's Fencing Team captured the North <br />Carolina Fencing League's State Fencing Championship; and <br />WHEREAS, under the guidance of Coach Doug Guild, Chapel Hill High School's Fencing <br />Team earned its second state title, also winning the trophy in 2012; and <br />WHEREAS, Nikhil Shankar, Nathaniel Montano, Iaan Hufford, Ariel Hoerter and Natalie <br />Bulick- Sullivan contributed to winning the State Championship with the support of <br />team members Joel Anil, Jesse Chen, Hagan Connell, Johnny Huang, Alex <br />Obringer, Jack Obringer, Brody Rich - Voorhees and Giovanni Silva; and <br />WHEREAS, through hard work, dedication, teamwork, and commitment, the Tigers brought <br />honor upon themselves, Chapel Hill High School, the Chapel Hill / Carrboro <br />School District and Orange County; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, be it proclaimed that the Orange County Board of Commissioners <br />expresses its sincere appreciation and respect for the Chapel Hill High School <br />Fencing Team, for the Tigers' outstanding achievement, and their inspiration to <br />youth across North Carolina through their dedication, teamwork, and athletic <br />prowess. <br />This the 181' day of March 2014. <br />Barry Jacobs, Chair <br />Orange County Board of Commissioners <br />
