PUBLIC INVOLVEMENT PROGRAM <br />gMission/Scope: Public Hearin process consistent with NC State Statutes and <br />p <br />Orange County ordinance requirements and additional outreach as described below. <br />a. Planning Board Review: <br />October 2, 2013 — ORC Meeting <br />November 6, 2013 — ORC Meeting (continued) - Comments were incorporated <br />into the proposed amendments and the Planning Board stated it was ready <br />for the proposal to be heard at a public hearing. The ORC agrees that <br />removing the most intensive uses in the ASE -CZ zoning district from <br />consideration in the Rural Buffer is likely the most feasible way to proceed. <br />March 5, 2014 — for recommendation <br />b. Advisory Boards: <br />Agricultural Preservation Board (APB) <br />reviewed and discussed the entire <br />ASE program at its October 16, <br />November 20, 2013, and January 15, <br />2014 meetings <br />The consensus of the APB is that <br />the Board is supportive of moving <br />forward with the proposed ASE <br />program and would like farmers to <br />have the ability to apply for as many <br />types of agriculturally - related uses <br />as possible. The Board agrees that <br />removing the most intensive uses in <br />the ASE -CZ zoning district from <br />consideration in the Rural Buffer is <br />likely the most feasible way to <br />proceed. <br />215 <br />
