Although an additional tick is necessary only in the Commercial - Industrial Transition Activity Node in order to implement the two new overlav
districts in the Efland area, staff is suggesting that zoning overlay districts potentially be allowed in the other Transition land use
classifications. Other zoning overlay districts are not being contemplated at this time but potentially allowing them in land use classifications
where overlay districts would be appropriate will negate the need for additional amendments in the future.
M
ZONING
DISTRICTS
'K'
"
00
❑ p c
Special
U
U
Land Use Classifications
"''
*i
N
M
'7

_- r;
Zoning
A
& Overlays
"
~
N
M
W
U
6
6
V
G
-
N
M
"
C =
rr
District
I}istrict
4
a
U
L7
F;
a
H
?
4
Chapel HUI Transition
permit Administration by Municipalities under the provisions ofthe Joint planning Agreement
Carrboro Transition
Contact appropriate Municipality, for applicable Zoning Standards
10 -Year Transition
20 -Fear Transition
Commercial Transition
E
Activity Node
Comme rcial -Indus trial
Transition Activity Node
♦
♦
♦
♦
♦
♦
♦
♦
♦
♦
Economic Development
Transition Activity Node
Rural B uff'e r
Rural Residential
♦
♦
Agricultural Residential
♦
♦
♦
Rural CoTnInunity, Activity
Node
Rural Neighborhood
Activih- Node
♦
♦
Rural Industrial Activity
Node
Public Interest Area
M
