District of Columbia Public Library <br /> Library Standards <br /> PROJECT TEAM In 2008, the District of Columbia Public Library(DCPL) commissioned <br /> Freelon Freelon to create a document which would contain their desired standards <br /> for fixtures,furnishings, and equipment to be used in all new and renovated <br /> LOCATION g <br /> Washington,NC Public Libraries in Washington, D.C.With plans to build and renovate <br /> CLIENT CONTACT numerous libraries in the near future, it was beneficial to "standardize" <br /> Ginnie Cooper products in the buildings to allow for ease of maintenance and service.The <br /> Chief Librarian standardization also enables the relocation of items between branches as <br /> DC Public Libraries the need arises. <br /> gin n ie.cooper @dc.gov <br /> T202.727.0321 In addition to easing maintenance and flexibility issues, the Library <br /> SIZE Standards supplements the design program for future projects.Through <br /> NIA identification of components within the building, they help reduce the time <br /> COST required to select and review fixtures, furnishings, and equipment in each of <br /> Not Disclosed the branches. <br /> OCCUPANCY DATE <br /> N/A While specific items are listed in the document,the Library will be consulted <br /> MAIN PROGRAM ELEMENTS to confirm that none of these items have changed or been modified.
