Extensive visioning sessions took place with the <br /> (estimated construction cost) staff and county to determine what the new Auburn Ave experience should <br /> OCCUPANCY DATE provide. From these sessions priorities unfolded to form the basis of the <br /> TBD re-imagined program. <br /> MAIN PROGRAM ELEMENTS <br /> Auditorium The building will expand to include new archive storage, auditorium, gallery. <br /> Increased Gallery Space space and public program rooms. A strategic realignment of program will <br /> Increased Stacks Area <br /> Main Reading Room&Archives bring public functions such as the auditorium, seminar rooms and galleries <br /> Reading Room ' from the upper floors down to the ground floor level, in effect turning the <br /> Authors'and Writers'Lounge <br /> Educational Center building program upside down. This bold 'repositioning'of the building will <br /> Staff Work Areas bring the most active use portions of the library program to the street level <br /> and help AARL better engage its downtown context.
