District of Columbia Public Library <br /> Tenley-Friendship Library <br /> PROJECT TEAM Tenley Library is a welcoming civic building that provides a variety of <br /> Freelon(Lead Designer and <br /> Architect of Record) spaces to meet a wide range of community needs. Spaces include a large <br /> in association with public meeting room (for approximately 100 people),two smaller meeting <br /> R.McGheeAoe rooms, a children's program room, and rooms for group study and tutoring. <br /> ct) <br /> (Associate Architect) <br /> LOCATION New books and media along with staff picks and featured technology are <br /> Washington,District of Columbia made visible along the urban street facade to connect the library to its <br /> CLIENT CONTACT bustling neighborhood. There are multiple points of access to virtual spaces through the <br /> 21,472 SF public PCs and wireless access for people with their own electronic devices. <br /> COST The children's area has spaces (including collection and seating) dedicated <br /> $10.9 million to various age groups (five and under, beginning readers and elementary <br /> OCCUPANCY DATE age).
