Orange County purchased the entire parcel following the opening of <br /> the new Orange High School in 1963. Central Recreation Center was dedicated <br /> to Recreation and Parks and opened in 1975. In 2002 the building underwent <br /> renovations including HVAC upgrades, new flooring and paint. During the 2005- p <br /> 2008 period, upgrades were made to some offices and the restrooms. The win- ; <br /> dows and exterior doors were replaced, and other improvements were made. <br /> Central Recreation Center hosts over 4,000 participants annually in over 160 <br /> recreation programs.
