N.C. <br /> COUNTY COMMISSIONERS PRESENT: Chair Barry Jacobs and Commissioners Mark <br /> Dorosin, Alice M. Gordon, Earl McKee, Bernadette Pelissier, Renee Price, and Penny Rich. <br /> COUNTY COMMISSIONERS ABSENT: <br /> COUNTY ATTORNEYS PRESENT: John Roberts <br /> COUNTY STAFF PRESENT: Interim County Manager Michael Talbert, Assistant County <br /> Managers Cheryl Young and Clarence Grier, and Clerk to the Board Donna Baker (All other <br /> staff members will be identified appropriately below) <br /> CHAPEL HILL TOWN COUNCIL MEMBERS/STAFF PRESENT: Mayor Mark Kleinschmidt, Ed <br /> Harrison, Jim Ward, Lee Storrow, Matt Czajkowski, Lauren Easthom and Town Manager Roger <br /> Stancil <br /> CHAPEL HILLTOWN COUNCIL MEMBERS ABSENT: Gene Pease, Donna Bell <br /> CARRBORO BOARD OF ALDERMEN MEMBERS PRESENT/STAFF: Mayor Chilton, Pro Tern <br /> Lydia Lavelle, Aldermen Damien Seils, Michelle Johnson, Jacquelyn Gist, and Town Manager <br /> David Andrews. <br /> CARRBORO BOARD OF ALDERMEN MEMBERS ABSENT: Randee Haven O'Donnell and <br /> Sammy Slade <br /> TOWN OF HILLSBOROUGH COMMISSIONERS/STAFF: Mayor Tom Stevens, Town <br /> Commissioner Eric Hallman, and Town Manager Eric Peterson <br /> TOWN OF HILLSBOROUGH COMMISSIONERS ABSENT: Frances Dancy, Michael Gering, <br /> Brian Lowen and Evelyn Lloyd <br /> Welcome, Call to Order and Opening Comments (BOCC Chair and Mayors) <br /> Chair Jacobs called the meeting to order. <br /> Mayor Kleinschmidt congratulated all of the election winners. He noted that Mark <br /> Chilton had not arrived yet; however he expressed thanks for Mayor Chilton's years of public <br /> service. <br /> Mayor Stevens recognized those who were newly elected, as well as Frances Dancy <br /> and Mike Gering, who are retiring from his Board. <br /> Chair Jacobs explained that he and the Mayors structured the meeting so that those <br /> items affecting all of the municipalities were placed earlier in the agenda. <br /> Chair Jacobs congratulated Dean Smith for his receipt of the Presidential Medal of <br /> Honor. <br /> Chair Jacobs walked everyone through the following items at their places: <br /> - Letter from UNC Center for Civil Rights, regarding RENA, Title 6 complaint <br /> - Changes in language from Town of Chapel Hill, regarding Item 2 <br />
