10. County Attorney's Report <br /> John Roberts said he had a lengthy meeting today with attorneys from Durham County, <br /> TTA and DMV. He said the meeting included the commissioner of the DMV. He said the <br /> commissioner admits the DMV has not collected the full amount of the $7 vehicle registration <br /> tax adopted by the Board last year. <br /> John Roberts said he is waiting for additional information on how much has been lost <br /> and possible options for collection. <br /> 11. Appointments <br /> a. Adult Care Home Community Advisory Committee —Appointments <br /> The Board considered making appointments to the Adult Care Home Community <br /> Advisory Committee. <br /> A motion was made by Commissioner Pelissier, seconded by Commissioner Rich to <br /> appoint the following to the Adult Care Home Community Advisory Committee, with term <br /> ending dates: <br /> - Mr. Daniel Hatley, to position #2 for a second full term, expiring 10/31/2015. <br /> - Dr. Anthony John Vogt, to position #5 for a first full term, expiring 10/31/2015. <br /> (Dr. Vogt completed a one year training term expiring 10/18/2013.) <br /> - Mr. Richard Gross, to position #6 for a third full term, expiring 10/31/2015.** <br /> **Terms for Adult Care Community Advisory Committee are 3 two-year terms. <br /> VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br /> b. Advisory Board on Aging —Appointment <br /> The Board considered making an appointment to the Advisory Board on Aging. <br /> A motion was made by Commissioner Gordon, seconded by Commissioner Rich to <br /> appoint Dr. Jo Anne Wilson to position #10, with an expiration date of 6/30/2016. <br /> VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br /> c. Animal Services Advisory Board (ASAB) —Appointment <br /> The Board considered making an appointment to the Animal Services Advisory Board. <br /> A motion was made by Commissioner Pelissier, seconded by Commissioner <br /> Price to appoint Arthur Sprinczeles to position #5 on the ASAB with a term expiration date of <br /> 6/30/2015. <br /> VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br /> Commissioner Dorosin noted that applicant Andrew Wood is listed as an animal welfare <br /> advocate. He said he would like to nominate Andrew Wood for position #10. <br /> Donna Baker said the ASAB has historically vetted applicants very carefully. She is not <br /> sure why this applicant was not recommended. She said she would be happy to check with the <br /> ASAB about this. <br />
