If in doubt, please contact Town of Chapel Hill or Orange County staff. <br /> There is some overlap with the programs; here are a few guidelines: <br /> • CDBGassistance is limited to projectswithin the Town of Chapel Hill's"Extra-Territorial <br /> Jurisdiction" (EQ; <br /> • HOM Efunds may be used anywhere in Orange County(Chapel Hill, Carrboro, Hillsborough,or <br /> Orange County); <br /> • Non-housing projects can only use CDBGfunds; <br /> • New housing construction can only use HOM Efunds(except for designated Community Based <br /> Development Organizations which may use CDBGfunds for new housing construction in Chapel <br /> Hill). <br /> EU13BLEAPPIJCANTS <br /> CDBG applicants must be: <br /> • Non-profit agencieswith a primary purpose of providing housing, human services, or economic <br /> development services, or <br /> • Local government or public agency. <br /> HOM Eapplicants must be: <br /> • Non-profit agencies or for-profit corporations applying through a member government; or <br /> • Consortium member governments. <br /> "Non-profit" means having a 501 c(3)tax exemption notice from the I FS All applicants must <br /> demonstrate a track record of continuous, active, and relevant operation for at least two(2)years. <br /> iii <br /> Do not submit this page <br />
