Implement a business retention program. <br /> RESPONSIBILITY <br /> • Economic Developer, City Planning, Communications Coordinator <br /> PRIORITY: 2 <br /> 6. Intergovernmental Communications <br /> ISSUES <br /> • Improving communications with other municipalities, St. Louis <br /> County and the Clayton School District strengthens partnerships <br /> with these entities. <br /> GOAL: Maintain a consistent line of communication with the various <br /> governmental entities and the School District. <br /> STRATEGIES <br /> 1. Police Chief, Fire Department personnel and other selected City <br /> staff meet regularly with school district officials and principals to <br /> discuss needs and issues. <br /> 2. Establish active relationships with representatives at Washington <br /> University, Fontbonne University and Concordia Seminary for <br /> information sharing, recruitment and internships, and mutual aid <br /> agreements. <br /> 3. Provide educational services and emergency management <br /> information for the School District and private schools and <br /> institutions of higher education in Clayton. <br /> 4. Develop internal departmental protocols to monitor required <br /> governmental reporting and correspondence. <br /> RESPONSIBILITY <br /> • The Police and Fire Departments play a significant role in <br /> communicating with other governmental agencies as well as the <br /> School District.
