49 <br /> Description: The annual budget report provides budget details for the <br /> new fiscal year and illustrates the City's strong financial <br /> footing. <br /> Audience: City officials and employees and the citizens and <br /> businesses of Clayton. <br /> Evaluation: The annual budget report and financial summaries are <br /> published to provide transparency in government fiscal <br /> operations and to account for public funds. The budget <br /> document and periodic financial summaries are effective <br /> in communicating the City's finances. <br /> Recommendation: It is recommended that the budget document and <br /> periodic financial summaries continue to be made <br /> available to the public on the City's website and at City <br /> Hall. <br /> 10. News Releases <br /> Description: Prepared publicity items that provide breaking news <br /> about the City. Releases are emailed or faxed to local and <br /> national print publications, television and radio stations. <br /> Audience: The primary audiences are local and national media <br /> sources and ultimately the general public. <br /> Evaluation: The releases share relevant and exciting news. Depending <br /> on the media source, a national reach can help with <br /> economic development. <br /> Recommendation: Continue to issue releases to media locally and nationally. <br /> 11. Public Forums <br /> Description: Forums for open discussion where participants have an <br /> opportunity to express opinions and give input. These <br /> forums include neighborhood and Ward meetings, Town <br /> Hall meetings and meetings with business and special <br /> interest groups. Community leaders, City officials or staff <br /> members host or attend these meetings to conduct <br /> training and to provide pertinent information. <br /> Audience: Clayton citizens, businesses, subdivision associations and <br /> special interest groups. <br /> Evaluation: In addition to the regularly scheduled Board of Aldermen <br /> and other committee meetings (all open to the public), <br /> 10 <br />
