100 <br /> Citizen Participation Goal <br /> The Communications Office will provide its audience with opportunities to become <br /> involved in, engaged in and knowledgeable about their role in Prince William County <br /> government in the community. <br /> Strategy 1 —Provide two sessions of the Community Leadership Institute (CLI) each year to <br /> educate enrollees about their County Government. <br /> 1. Encourage enrollment from all districts in the County. <br /> 2. Provide a program that engages County departments and agencies with members of the <br /> community. <br /> 3. Encourage CLI graduates to volunteer with the County Government or with nonprofit <br /> agencies in the community. <br /> Strategy 2 —Provide an annual CLI Alumni event to encourage involvement in the community <br /> and to keep them informed. <br /> 1. Present a program that allows graduates to network and learn from each other. <br /> 2. Provide information about County Government current events. <br /> 3. Seek information from the graduates regarding ways to improve service to the <br /> community. <br /> Strategy 3 —Provide a"Speakers Bureau" to community groups upon request. <br /> 1. Accept requests from community groups for speakers. <br /> 2. Determine the appropriate staff person to provide the service and make the necessary <br /> arrangements. <br /> 3.
